The following table is used by holding the <Alt> key down and using the number pad to the right of the keyboard.  Enter the 3 numbers at the left of the row, followed by the number at the top of the column, for the character you want to produce.  Then release the <Alt> key.  You will see the character you want pop up when you let the <Alt> key go.
